Re: JJ overpair to board against semi lag player
A pot sized bet screams to me Axcc as if he's trying to make sure he is priced in to chase. A solid player isn't going to make that big a bet with a lower pp than our JJ imo. I also think he bets for value with QQ-AA.

Re: JJ overpair to board against semi lag player
If I call preflop I'm probably looking to stack off here, so I'm not folding on the flop

Re: JJ overpair to board against semi lag player
if i am calling PF, i am felting this every time.
it is hard to say without reads about his 3betting tendancies, but i am pretty sure i am going broke in this spot |

Re: JJ overpair to board against semi lag player
it looks to me like he has an ace in his hand. he is never doing this with AA imo, because he has a complete crusher. i believe he is pricing himself here with something like AK, maybe w/o suits

Re: JJ overpair to board against semi lag player
When this thread was up earlier today I advocated a flop raise. Now your all saying call.
I still feel that a lot of his range would be FD with an A and combo draws. Wouldn't we like just to get our money in now? |

Re: JJ overpair to board against semi lag player
I think you have to include AKo and AQo in his range as well. He is going to cbet here %100 with what ever he is holding. However, the most important thing I need here is reads on his pot sized cbet. Is this value or does he want you to go away? I think that I call flop and c/f turn
