Default Top pair+flush draw oop = I\'m Lost

Sorry if this is standard/dumb hand, but lately I've been completely lost in situations like this. I don't have much history with villian other than this session, he seems solid enough. Every other hand I've played with villian I've had position and he has check riased two flop c-bets and one two-barrel from me every time I completely missed, which had me slightly frustrated.

Betting out flop or check-calling are both better lines on the flop IMO.

I don't mind a CRAI on river.

Check/call again or leading are both fine. Check/calling does miss some value, but lead folding seems quite ugly and lead calling could mean putting in a lot of money while drawing slim to dead. You aren't gonna get a whole lot of value from trips on this board, since there aren't many strong hands that will pay you off. Playing a small pot isn't bad here IMO.

In this spot he either has a flush draw, has us crushed or is drawing dead. Against neither of those you want to bet turn.

Yeah, that's what I figured on the turn, but I just made my situation that much worse by my flop action. Thanks for the input.
