Shawn Marion at 5 is so ridiculous.

League stats g-bebe?

[/ QUOTE ]

I editted to include stats and roster slots.

Include your reasons why it's ridiculous. Is that a good thing?

[/ QUOTE ]

It's ridiculous because marion is #1 every year in FB.

[/ QUOTE ]

Hes certainly not a consensus number 1 every year.

Is anyone else taking a flyer on Kenyon Martin late in drafts? Would i be better off taking one on Joakim Noah?

[/ QUOTE ]

He's been the #1 overall the last 3 years straight, I don't know what more you want.

Carroll is starting this year and will log some nice PT now that Morrison is out for the year. He should be one of your picks for sure.

[/ QUOTE ]

Cool thanks. As of now, I'm thinking Carroll and Stackhouse. I'm intruiged by Young, but I want to see how he adjusts to the league first.

According to basketball monster using my league's categories....

Last year Marion gave you a value of 0.81. The rest of the top 10 gave you 0.71(Dirk), 0.67(Nash), 0.64(Camby), 0.60(KG), 0.59(Brand), 0.54(Wade), 0.52(Kobe), 0.47(Amare), and 0.46(Yao)

Two years ago, he gave you a staggering 1.04. Rest of the top 10 was 0.88(KG), 0.85(Brand), 0.76(Dirk), 0.61(Camby), 0.61(Nash), 0.57(Allen), 0.53(G Wallace), 0.53(Yao), and 0.46(Kobe).

In other words, not only has he been the #1 overall the past few years, but hes been FAR AND AWAY the best player. The gap between him and the #2 is larger than the gap between any other ranking in either of the past two years.

I just took him #1 overall in our dynasty draft, and I'm very pleased.

Also, in a redraft league I'd probably rather take a chance on Martin. They'll place at a much faster pace than Chicago. Wallace is still a stud rebounder and Chicago is going to want to get Thomas minutes. While I think it'll be interesting to see the fight for minutes between Nene and Martin, I think Martin has more upside.

How did I do? This is one of my first drafts ever. Amare was by far the best player left with my first pick, rashard lewis is very well balanced, so I really didn't decide to punt anything besides turnovers at that point. It gets murky after that though. Kevin Martin is really good at steals, 3's, but Dalembert sucks (as with most big players). It was a toss up between Peja and Nene what do you guys think?

Also I guess I decided to not consider TO's, assists, and steals. Does my team look okay?

NBK
1. (10) Amare Stoudemire
2. (19) Rashard Lewis
3. (38) Kevin Martin
4. (47) David West
5. (66) Samuel Dalembert
6. (75) Peja Stojakovic
7. (94) Andrew Bynum
8. (103) Zydrunas Ilgauskas
9. (122) Charlie Villanueva
10. (131) Jason Williams
11. (150) Hedo Turkoglu
12. (159) Joakim Noah
13. (178) Smush Parker
14. (187) Brandan Wright
15. (206) Chris Duhon

So I had way too much time on my hands, and am desperately trying to avoid doing Comp Sci. So I ran some numbers.

Default Settings+ Bench Included Rankings (sorry about the putting the bench in I'm not changing that now)

1. NBK- .63
2. Bison- .19
3. Highlight- .05
4. Lippy- .02
5. Witness- -.24
6. Celtics- -.25
7. Baby- -.33
8. Team Smack- -.49
9. Mantunska- -.68
10. David Lee- -.79

Punting 3 Worst Catgories

1. Witness- 1.78
2. David- 1.72
3. NBK- 1.42
4. Bison- 1.25
5. Mantunuska- 1.01
6. Baby- .32
7. Celtics- .31
8. Smack- -.01
9. Highlighs- -.04
10. Elvis- -.28

I think dropping 4 cats puts witness WAYYYY in front, so he's the early season favorite to win it all

I set my league to "Allow roster changes: Weekly on Monday." This is "lock the weekly active scoring lineup Sunday at 11:59PM" and not "only allow any changes like picking up and dropping players on Monday," right?

...

Does [Yahoo] keep track of who is "playing" and scoring for you in the current week separately from who you currently "own"?

[/ QUOTE ]

I would say I'm sorry to bump this, but it seems to have gotten lost in the mad rush to post rosters, and I'm really not. Can anyone confirm that it's set the way it should be and that roster changes are handled in the "lock rosters and then have roster freedom" way? Thanks.

OK, so I'm not a NBA fan at all (have never watched a game). Few guys at my new job asked if I wanted to be in a league and to be social I said yes. I have a good understanding of fantasy sports in general, ( won both of my baseball leagues, looking good in one of two football leagues) but know nothing of the NBA.

This is my team for a 12 team league with standard 9 category scoring H2H.

PG Baron Davis
SG Josh Smith
G Kevin Durant
SF David Lee
PF Ruben Patterson
F Shane Battier
C Amare Stoudemire
C Chris Wilcox
Util Charlie Bell
Util Mike Dunleavey
B Elton Brand (some how missed he was hurt and took him in round 5)
B JR Smith
B Chris Duhon
B JJ Redick

I'm also a huge Duke fan

Noah and Eddy Curry are available at Center on waivers. League allows 40 overall transactions including trades. Should I make a roster move for either of these players? I feel like I could use the points and rebounds Curry would provide but I also see some people drafting Noah. No keepers.

Thank you for any help
Ken
