Hey, I'd really appreciate it if some of you would take a look at my Match.com profile and let me know what can be improved.

My username there is coffeeMMMcoffee .

Ya I know the first thing that could be improved is the username -- just put that aside for now though.

Edit: Here is the link

1) I'm not a woman or gay, so maybe you should discount this, but find a photo of yourself where your eyes don't look red (or learn photoshop) also shave, you look scruffy

2) Spell check for [censored] sake, you're not gonna get any women with brains (sorry your "canoing" immediately jumped out at me) (and just noticed you put "Brainiacs" as a turn on... so yeah, spell check)

3) You list your location as Seattle (next to your photo) but then you say you just got back to Florida? Confusing imo.

4) WTF is authentic Ethiopian food? Serious question. That does sound interesting in a wacky way.

5) You've got a bunch of stuff about what you did, and then the very very last paragraph.... looking like an after thought, you say what you're looking for in a relationship. You may want to think about moving that up a bit, since this is a profile on Match.com....

6) Some of the description about you seems longish, but idk, may just be a style issue.

7) WTF at "renaissance woman" do you REALLY want those chicks that go to those medieval type fairs and stuff... style issue i guess

Overall seems ok, a little on the longish side, i'd shorten and snappy it up a bit, and put in a different photo.

Reading your profile, I wasn't a big fan of the second paragraph, explaining the difference between poker and casino games. It bored me, and would surely bore a woman reading through a bunch of profiles. Save this topic for the 2nd date. I would just go right into poker allowing you to travel and how that makes you an exciting date.

<font color="blue">I'm not sure wtf it is but every picture I take I turn out with devilish deep red eyes,</font>

2) Spell check for [censored] sake, you're not gonna get any women with brains (sorry your "canoing" immediately jumped out at me) (and just noticed you put "Brainiacs" as a turn on... so yeah, spell check)

<font color="blue">actually everything i type is automatically spell-checked by my browser, and the correct spelling as far as Mozilla is concerned is "canoing." that didn't look right to me when I wrote it, but I thought wtf I am a horrible speller. thanks for the catch.</font>

3) You list your location as Seattle (next to your photo) but then you say you just got back to Florida? Confusing imo.

<font color="blue">What's confusing? I live in Seattle but I want to establish a long-distance relationship with someone from FL. Is that a bad plan?

OK, location fixed.</font>

4) WTF is authentic Ethiopian food? Serious question. That does sound interesting in a wacky way.

<font color="blue">Jesus you catch everything. As I wrote that I was thinking to myself wtf is authentic Ethiopian? Every time I've been to an Ethiopian restaurant I've been served by an Ethiopian and the food was cooked by an Ethiopian, and the restaurant was full of Ethiopian cab drivers. So yes it makes no sense but I thought it added an air of sophistication. Like, "Jesus I'm tired of all these quote-unquote Ethiopian restaurants that have six mexicans working in the kitchen."

OK, authentic is now gone</font>

5) You've got a bunch of stuff about what you did, and then the very very last paragraph.... looking like an after thought, you say what you're looking for in a relationship. You may want to think about moving that up a bit, since this is a profile on Match.com....

<font color="blue">I guess my thinking was to try to hook them by putting myself out as a desirable guy and then, after piquing some interest, throw out what I want. I'll work on that section, though</font>

6) Some of the description about you seems longish, but idk, may just be a style issue.

7) WTF at "renaissance woman" do you REALLY want those chicks that go to those medieval type fairs and stuff... style issue i guess

<font color="blue">LOL. No, I'm definitely not into the medieval fair girls. I couldn't think of anything clever, and wanted to convey that I am looking for a smart girl who has had interesting and diverse experiences. I'll work on this but would definitely welcome suggestions.</font>

Overall seems ok, a little on the longish side, i'd shorten and snappy it up a bit, and put in a different photo.

<font color="blue">Totally agree thank you for the help.</font>

I had the GF look at it.

She agrees that the difference between poker and house games should go. She would cut off from "like I play roulette." The implication that they're distinct is there, so the women smart enough to know better will understand what you're saying.

She's not crazy about the tag line about renaissance women. While in your case it is accurate because of your background, it is over-used on dating sites and usually incorrectly. She thinks you are smart enough to come up with something beyond what everyone else puts. Given you are the only other person I know who has read Wittgenstein I'd have to agree.

She thinks your stubble looks good.

She says this as an attractive and intelligent woman herself.

Henry,

Thanks, and please thank your gf for taking a look. I've fixed some things but no doubt more could be improved.

All,

What about my current tagline, which is: "looking for someone who has opinions and isn't afraid to share them."

I know that this isn't exactly clever, but I think (hope) it comes across as a genuine "I want to know what you think" (which is true) Thumbs up or thumbs down?

The red is the flash reflecting off your eyes directly back into the lens. If you look slightly (like, two inches) to one side of the flash, you still look like you're looking at the camera but you don't have red eyes.

lol funny thing is the first thing I thought when I looked at the picture is... the red eyes is the best picture you could find? You need to remove the red eyes it makes you look like the devil. Although I think without the red eyes you are good looking guy and also I agree about the shaving... definately need a picture where you don't have red-eye and are shaved.

I think everything you wrote was very honest and will be well received by the right person.

Turnons u listed Thunderstorms??? what?? lol seems strange unless explained BUT might lead to someone asking questions so you could leave it in there.

I think the tag line is good.. shows you are a listener... lol despite that one post you made where you wanted a girl who can't speak english LOL that confuses me but at least you didn't say it in your profile.

Umm and one more thing the " I am always happy to discover someone new." BING BING sounds off alarm in girl's head as this guy's a player.. so delete it!!!
