Why did Daniel Negreaneu say his hair looked bad in the blackface vid?

He mentioned that he couldn't take his hat off because his hair looked bad, but that it'd be better with time. Did he lose a bet and have to shave his head or something?

I've shaved my head many-a-time and there is no "weird stage" where it looks "disgusting". His hair is most probably not growing at the front/top at the same speed as the rest because he's obv balding.

Having said that DN looks OK bald so I don't understand why he doesn't just keep it at 0, where you won't be able to any lack of hair growth as long as he keeps it that length.

Is that what he meant by it though? It seems like something else happened with his hair that he made public. That's what I gathered watching the video anyways.
