how would you play it against unknown?

i didnt thought that he would call/call with a pair higher than sevens.

I had folded that flop with 77 and prolly called with 99+ but I suck.

Against a short stack I think I usually call here, especially since he limped (I just don't think 88+ limps).

he probably has a medium or small pocket pair too, so I think is ok, I think it's breakeven at least

I think you're way better than a coinflip. TT+ definitely raises, 99 usually raises, but even if we're going to say it doesn't, that means that I put his range at 22-99, and a few Ax hands. You're beating a large majority of that range.
