Id tell you my old one that beat the [censored] out of everyone (I liturally didnt lose a game for 50+ times played). But now they changed everything and I'm even afraid to tuch it...

Cheap is the best admiral right now.

When you send your first wave, send your destroyers from ports 2 and 5 so that your opponent's MBs don't hit you 2 at a time.

Other than that, just try to keep your ships in groups as much as possible.

Also keep in mind that your income is based on how far away your furthest ship is from your base.
