The fact that Booth had a lot more behind had nothing to do with Ivey's decision, I guarantee it. I don't think even Booth would tell you that he was playing big stack poker.

[/ QUOTE ]

"There was an interview with him on the Rounders podcast trying to explain his huge bluff against Ivey and he basically said that he did it because he wanted to be feared and respected."

[/ QUOTE ]

But the bluff (and accompanying fear and respect) would have been just as effective if he had a similar stack size to Ivey.

If Brad Booth (or anyone) bought into my local 1/2NL game for a $1M (assume it was unlimited), he doesn't scare me and my $100 any more than another good player with $101. I only have to worry about my $100, not the $999,990 that I don't even have.

This is all good and fine, but when you sit at a table full of these guys, you are a one-trick pony. You cant limp, cant bluff, cant even standard raise. All you can do is wait for a big hand, get your money in, and pray it holds up.

[/ QUOTE ]

Lol, you are an idiot.

If he pushes every hand, you call with Q8 or better (if no one else is in). I played against a guy who would push all in for $200 every hand and won $40k off of him in 4 days, if you can't win in that game, you are a total moron.

Okay, well, the main thing is that I remember Daniel Negreanu once bought into the Wynn 5/10NL for $100,000 and was unbeatable..I mean it wasn't even fair...how is a $1,000 stack going to even have a chance when Negreanu can put them all in with the flick of a wrist or wave of a hand?

[/ QUOTE ]

I was in this game. Daniel made it $50 UTG and I put him on 99. I made it $250 on the button with AA. He made it $1000, and i only had $2k left. I realised that he was so deep he had huge pot odds to hit his set and we might be chopping, so I made a good fold.

[/ QUOTE ]

God help you. Or me. I'm so confused.

Hi
Isaw Joe Moon in the 10-20 NL. on Sunday morning and Morning. His MO is to come in early morning when the games are short handed and people are up all night and not playing there best game. The Borgato reg's will have there hands full with Moon. He is a tough pro with no tilt in his body. Excels in short handed game.
thanks.
