Default Mini 3bet

Villain is a pretty bad 20/16/1 regular. Once before he raised in CO with ATo and called my BB c/r on A74r flop stacking off on the T turn.

50NL iPoker
100BB
6 handed

I raise to 1.75 OTB with KJo, he pops to 3.75 from SB, I am WTF.

I don't mind folding even on the button, you want a hand that hits big, your KJ is possibly dominated and will cause you trouble.

he has probably just read that new book which advocates this kind of thing with hands like AQ (i think, i havent read it) so i dont hate 4b/folding, but i think folding is fine the 1st time he does it.

Anything besides folding is FPS and a major leak IMO.

There is a huge difference in raising IP and 3betting OOP. He may suck postflop, but you would be playing an easily dominated hand in what is going to turn out to be a big pot.

I say let this go; don't call or light 4bet or whatever you are thinking about doing.

i call and play fit or fold. Its easily dominated so I dont get too excited when I make tp2k and fold to steady agression.

What's their reasoning for the small raise?

I call and see a flop to the small raises with position. I really want to hit something really nice, and it doesn't happen too often, but when it does it's usually pretty sweet.
