It'd be pretty damn retarded if he smooth called TT/JJ/AA preflop here, but people are like that pretty often (especially with TT, i know quite a few players who RR QQ+ only).

Since i can't discount TT from his range (and occasional JJ/AA), i don't think you can smoothcall river. Just put the $$s in.

If you gave stats of TAG reg like 20/15 or 25/20, then i suppose it would make sense to consider seriously smoothcalling this.

I agree with some of the earlier posts in that it really depends on horrible of a player the SB is as to what you should do. Some people don't have a clue what hand values are based on action in a hand. Based on your action is it quite possible you have AA/JJ/TT so a good player is hardly ever going to 3 bet you here with just a flush but a bad player certainly might because he isn't putting you on hand. He just sees that he has a K high flush or TT and thinks it is deeeeeeeez nuts. Also, a good player is possibly going to fold TT or JJ to a push so you get little value with a raise against a good player. Against a donkey though, shove shove shove because they cant even fold a K high flush on a paired board half the time. I've even seen a hand where it was 4 to a flush and a guy with K high flush pushed the river for a nice overbet and Q high flush called because "I have the 2nd nuts!"

In any poker situation you cant just look at ur hand and say jeez i have quads, I gotta be all in here. I mean if he is a good player he is not calling off 500bb with the nut flush here. If he is a normal player he is 3 betting preflop wioth AA, JJ, and TT. So what other hands could he have that hed call a shove here with? KQ of clubs for the royal. Im not saying he necesaarily has that here but I think if he is a solid player thats the only hand he can have here that would call a shove.

Unless of course he is a donkey, in which case its a easy shove

lol call second nuts? He's making the same play here with king high flush, TT boat, JJ boat, AA boat

such an easy shove

[/ QUOTE ]

how likely are the boats of AAA JJJ and 101010 considering pf action tho?

Not very, which I why I actually think this is close. At first I was like what? shove! But after some more thought I think calling is probably best unless he is a donk who will stack off with Kc or TT here to your shove.

I feel that TT and JJ are more likely here than you think. Whether or not he would stack off with TT or the naked Kc is another entirely separate issue, but you are way off if you think his range for popping it to 1750 is comprised mostly of the royal.

i never call this...ever...i definitely shove. if he flopped the royal and u caught running quads at the same time the odds of that are insane...that will surely be the biggest cooler of ur life.

If hes your average passive donk, shove it for sure.
Passive donks like to slowplay big pairs because they are so tricky and stuff
Im not sure how anyone can imply you could ever get value from the K high flush tho

I swear I see live guys show up with JJ/TT waiting to "see a safe flop" fairly often.

I mean, I guess it IS 500BBs, and QTs definitely looks more plausible, and he may even try to defy Zeebo and fold TT for another $3k.

Min-raise and fold to a shove? lol
