Default 5/10 stud8 bring-in spew?

after villian limped in and checked 4th, i'm pretty sure he started with a drawing hand. looking back, i think 5th, 6th and 7th are all suspect. let me have it.

Boy, I really have no clue. His limp on 3rd with just two 9s and you behind him is really perplexing. I agree his check on 4th as well makes it look like no pair--maybe 3 clubs or 2 broadway cards or something.

Against a random hand on 5th you have 60% equity.
If he has unsuited AK, it's 66.5%
If he has A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], it's 63.5%
But you're a 2:1 dog if he has even a small pair in the hole.

Raising 5th or 6th is probably good to see how he responds. Since he called your raise I think you have to check it down UI but I'm really not sure at all. Maybe the Stud High gurus could be more help on this hand.

Third and fourth are perfect. Fold fifth. Probably fold sixth. I have a hard time believing that there's any value in the river bet.

Well, he limped on 3rd with a Q so he's kind of a donkey ... no use really trying to put him on a hand. I wouldn't be surprised to see something retarded like wired AA here trying to be tricky. He really could have anything.

The pot is so small on fifth, I'd probably just say screw it and let him have it. If you do call fifth, I like your raise on sixth with the intention of folding to a reraise and then checking behind on seventh unless you fill. I don't care much for the bet on seventh, I do like a "free showdown" raise on sixth, which will probably work because you *could* have a low here.

I agree with Andy B. Fold on 5th and 6th and no bet on the river. Why? Because Hero's hand is pretty easy to put on two small pair that can be easily beat by 9s over anything.
On the River, Hero's bet has -EV because Villian is likely to fold just a pair of open 9s and is likely to call and win with 9s up or better.

Villian's limp is just henious.

I just fold on 5th. Pot is too small for me to be guessing.

I don't think the limp is a bad play. It prevents the bringin from reraising in an obvious steal situation. He can bet 4th street if the bringin catches bad. If the limper knows what he is doing, he probably has either a very weak or very strong hand on 3rd street.
