I have to assume that you're referring to my post.

no; quick reply directed at OP.

also, adsman, how in the hell does one pull off an acoustic cover of "Heroin"?

[/ QUOTE ]

With flair. It has to be one of my all time favorites to play live. You can build it up and bring it down over and over again. Love your list too Nate, by the way.

This post for some reason reminded me of Jose Gonzalez's wonderful acoustic cover of The Knife's "Heartbeats". (The original)

Everlong is my favourite song to play on acoustic. Anything by Eliot Smith is great and a bit different from the standard rock stuff.

I did see a live cover of "Heroin" a few weeks ago, but it was an electric 3-piece (and there might have been a violin in there)-- not a one-man acoustic.

Oh, and I really liked your list too, adsman. [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

There's a lot of awesome Bob Dylan songs you could solo acoustic but I don't know if they fit with what your looking for.(Note: I'm thinking more of 'Shelter from the Storm' than 'Times they are a-changing' etc).

how did this take this long to get suggested? very easy to learn, yet it sounds unbelievably good, ldo.

some of my favourites to play:

Elton John - Tiny Dancer
Live - Lightning Crashes
Alice in Chains - Heaven Beside You (or Right Turn... or Nutshell... or No Excuses...)
Boston - More Than A Feeling
Jose Feliciano - Light My Fire (cover on The Doors)
Kansas - Dust In The Wind

obv if you're just looking for chicks, just play tears in heaven or something like that. easy money.
