Default 2nd nut flush hand

PokerStars 0.02/0.04 Hold'em (5 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

Preflop: Hero is Button with 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
UTG calls, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, Hero calls, SB completes, BB checks.

Flop: (4 SB) 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(4 players)</font>
SB checks, <font color="#CC3333">BB bets</font>, UTG calls, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises</font>, SB folds, BB calls, UTG calls.

Turn: (5 BB) J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(3 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">BB bets</font>, UTG folds, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises</font>, <font color="#CC3333">BB 3-bets</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero caps</font>, BB calls.

River: (13 BB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">BB bets</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises</font>, <font color="#CC3333">BB 3-bets</font>, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 19 BB

This is your typical loose microstakes game. I call preflop because UTG is a calling station, and I would get a lot of value out of him if I hit. Anyway, read on BB is that he plays loose (every single hand preflop). I got a few questions about the hand though.

Do you like raise on flop with pair and a flush draw (for value)?

Do you like the cap on the turn? I really felt that villain is 3-betting any flush.

Also, how did I play the river (3-bet worried me a little so I just called)?

This looks good to me. Heck, I'm even tempted to cap the river.

Does this being shorthanded make this a call instead of an instamuck pre-flop?

flop preflop ... you do not have the conditions to play this hand

??? ... if this is a typical loose game, why is it folded to hero OTB??

i like the flop raise ... but why did you do it??

turn is pretty much standard ... but without any player info I can't bring myself to raise the river (after you cap the turn you've already said what you have) ... against an aggressive player i raise/call .. against a really aggressive player I probably cap

against a somewhat passive player i just call

<font color="red">edit </font>

i missed that this is 5handed (is this a 5handed session or FR that is breaking up)

if 5handed i call OTB with the a number of opponents limping in EP (and soft blinds) ... if any aggressive you'll probably cost yourself money playing this hand

gentlemen,

as long as the blinds aren't very aggressive, i limp here all day, shorthanded or no.

it also really depends on how bad a player (or nit) the limper is (loose or tight doesn't really matter, as we are likely out of a tight range, except JT and 98) ...

and of course I didn't notice that UTG was a giant retard
