dear god if you can't figure out the Mac interface in about 2 picoseconds you don't deserve to know how long that actually is...seriously guys, its beyond easy....

and fwiw i'd much rather run osx and boot xp or *gasp* vista from parallels than boot os x from a pc box...just sayin....

OSX is not for sale. Apple will not license OSX for use on PCs.

Okay, so this osx/x86 mashup is something put together separate from osx by someone other than apple. Free I assume?

i don't understand, are you saying you can't buy OSX? does that mean when you "buy" it, you still would have to download it and it would know you were on a pc?

He probably means that if you buy OSX, and pop the CD in, it won't boot up/install onto an x86 system.

That means that the only way to get this running is through some sort of Crack/Emulation that is not endorsed by Apple.

It is also probably illegal under some reverse engineering clause in the DMCA.

OSX for X86 (ie, Intel/AMD) only comes preloaded on official Macintosh computers and isn't sold separately to load on any old PC. You can't charge a price premium for the same components if any idiot can buy a cheaper Dell and then install OS X themselves.
