The best day a SOLID player can EXPECT TO have is about 700.

FYP. From a $100 starting stack it takes 3 double ups to beat your $700 number. Not common, but solid players can be luckboxes too.

Three double ups.

100 stack gone: easy
200 stack gone: meh
400 or two 200 stacks gone: I have seen it.....

Like redfisher said, good players can be luckboxes too. Since I know a number of people that have had a personal best of +2000 in one days worth of 1/2NL I'm pretty sure this is wrong.

I misread op, I was thinking it was 300 b/i bc there is a loc casino that spreads 1-3 300 bi.

Hah! I also missed the 100 bi part. I still think 700 is too low for a best possible day, but the people who I know that have gotten ~2000 in a session were playing 300bi.

way back when i used to play in the 100nl game at hollywood park ($2/$3 blinds) there were definately stacks above 1k so saying 700 is the best possible day is rediculous. any luckbox lag could get over that easily.

What's the rake? This can have a huge impact on hourly profit, especially with the $100 max buy in.

When the casino I played at had a min/max of 100, my biggest win was 990 in 3 hour session. In the past month, 9 sessions, 54 hours, im at almost exactly $100/hr playing 1/2 100-300bi....

I find it amusing that the guy above, who says a "very good player can make 4BB/hr", goes on to say thats what he made as if he is one of the best players playing the game so that is all that is possible.

54 hours is probably 2000 hands. The other guy was probably talking about 100,000 hand sample. Within 1 week of poker play the possible variance is very large. OP may earn 100 bucks an hour at the casino, but should he expect to make that much? no.

A very good player would be able to make about 4 Big Blinds per hour for forty hours.

12x40= 480.

I can honestly say that I used to play in 1/3 game at 4 Big Blinds per hour. A typical winner probably makes 2 or 3.

At 3 big blinds per hour: 320
At 2 big blinds per hour: 240

I give the total over/under at about 300/ week at a 40 to 50 hour week.

[/ QUOTE ]

Funny, I can beat 5/10 NL for 10 big blinds/hour. And I can beat 2/5 NL for like 15 big blinds/hour.
