SB is playing 22/18 and we've been playing around an hour. its been an aggressive game and hes re raised preflop on multiple occasions.

is it worth it to shove here?

If you figure this guy to be worse than you, take a flop. The more decisions you get to make the more of an edge you have over this jack-hole. Expert NL Holdem is about postflop play. Pushing all your chips in preflop with the top six hands is a strategy for amatauers who are in over their heads; not for students of the game playing against check bombs.

but if i just call here then i have to ditch it on 2/3 flops that i miss completely and if i do hit then i will have to commit my chips with TPTK. just seems like a really hard flop to play

Sure, position on the PFR, but if the other players come along, you're 2nd to act out of 4.

Stack sizes dictate this 100%. If you both have 200 BB, it's not smart. If one of you has 50 BB, it's an auto-push.

I'm all for saying "stop pushing me around please" with a four bet in general though - not because I'm scared of playing post flop, but because I just want to make him think twice about reraising me.

im assuming that the stack sizes are around the normal 100BB stacks

if this is the case, this looks like a push. calling is ugly with this hand, IMO. reverse implied odds and all that.
