what did Johnny Chan do?

I was browsing through some threads on the ME Final Table and Jamie Gold and kept seeing Johnny Chan's name being mentioned but with no explanation.

Can anyone fill me in on the events that took place? was Chan a commentator during the final table? did they have an exchange of words?
