I probably would have just floated his flop bet since we're in position. But I don't think this would be a good call unless you just like to gamble. JJ+, AKs are all in his range.

Agreed. You have some nice implied odds if you hit your K or 8. I think this is just a call as we do not want to re-open betting if he has an overpair. If he has overs he may just very well check the turn and then we can take it away anyways.

No, this is a fold, the math is rather simple:

It will cost you $39 to win a $69 pot.
That means you need a 1.7 to 1 chance or better, or a 36% chance to win, in order to be profitable here.

You have two cards to come here, lets figure you have 8 outs(all 8's & K's make a straight). The rules of 2 and 4 say with one card to come, 8 outs equals a 32% chance of getting there.

32% does not satisfy our 36% requirement. Muck the hand and tell him "nice Bet"

no, that would be playing good, no one folds anything but air on this flop, and you will do far better calling the flop and betting when they give up on the turn

Disagree. Floating with the OESD here seems much better than raising the flop.

I don't really understand why you would think it's weak/tight.
