Default Poker Coach? Help!

Hi,

I'm interested in getting a poker coach. I was actually thinking about going to Camp Hellmuth, but thought a poker coach might be a better idea.

Can anyone give me some recommendations of where to go or who to contact? I found Pokercoaching.com and Pokernoise, but I'm not sure and would rather go with some recommendations.

How much am I looking at?

Thanks,

Kevin

I play 10c/25cNL online and 1/2NL live, I deal 1/2NL at a couple of local cardrooms.

I want a coach so I am very serious about playing poker. I have about 5000 to spend on my bankroll. So I'm willing to play bigger than 10c/25c online as long as I get some help along the way.

Thanks,

Kevin

Honestly, have you tried a site liek Cardrunners.com or anything else yet? They teach cash games at all limits. Theres new video's frequently and they have forums to help discuss hand questions. I think this could be the cheapest way to really learn the game and get experience watching better players play.

Kevin,

This is what I would do... Read all the good NL poker books you can find: Little Green Book, Sklansky and Ed Miller's new one, the other one 2+2 was putting out for SSNL if it's out yet. Also, sign up for cardrunners. If you are playing .10/.25 it would probably be best to get yourself a little more knowledge about the game before you spend a lot of money on a coach. A few poker books and a little practice and you should beat .10/.25. After you do a little work on your own I'd look into a coach. I know several people who coach. Feel free to PM me if you want any other advice/suggestions, because I don't frequent this forum much so I may miss it if you respond.

-Bill
