Finding Leaks
I've been playing the 30+3's at PP, and logging the tournies into PokerTracker. What are the most important things to look for in trying to fix leaks? What stats if any do you consider a tell-tale sign of bad play? I want to break it down by blind level, etc..and see where i need the most improvement.
Thanks guys |

Re: Finding Leaks
well sngpt is a good start to fix your bubble play.
another great method is posting hands here. Everytime you play a hand that your not sure about, post it. after a while, you will not only be playing with your own knowledge, but the knowledge of the forum, which together plays millions of hands a year... maybe a month. |

Re: Finding Leaks
its pretty hard finding the leaks. thats the problem. they are easy to fix just difficult to find.
how are you going to fix a leak if you dont even know it exists? just because you arent getting it in with the worst of it, doesnt mean you arent making mistakes. my best advice would be to find somebody you know is good and have him watch you for a session or make a vid of yourself. |

Re: Finding Leaks
at teh 33s finding your leaks shouldn't be too hard. just review your HHs and look for
- are you playing tight enough during the first few levels - are you maximizing value/minimizing lost from teh hands you do play - playing out of the blinds - are you making correct pushes/folds in the late game. if you spent a couple of days reviewing your last 100 sngs or so, you'd probably figure out a few things to improve on. |

Re: Finding Leaks
Thanks guys..I will do that. I'm reviewing them as we speak. Thru the first 100 I played, I did very well. Now the last 100 have been horrific. The sample size is very small, but obviously I'm playing poorly. Of course I have the naysayers, that PP is rigged, and it goes in cycles. If you win...it will put you in a bad cycle to spread the money around the site..to keep eveyrone playing. It does seem like there are SO many confrontational hands occuring, involving me..and involving just the other players, much more than live play. Anything to it ?
For example, the other day...on 3 consecutive STT, there was a matchup of AA vs QQ. Which I think is a rare occurance, but to top it all off, I was involved in all 3! Two of which i won with the AA, and the other I was the loser with the QQ. I was just very surprised to see this situation come up on 3 successive tournies, and be involved in all 3. What are the odds ? |

Re: Finding Leaks
Yea, no reason with the money they make. It just seems like there are so many more big hands that clash. I understand people are much looser online, but it seems that there are so many more situations where its AA vs KK, and AK vs JJ, or hands with 3 or more pocketpairs clashing online than in live games. Prolly just seems that way.

Re: Finding Leaks
There arent more "confrontations" online, you just play an exponentially larger number of hands, so those things happen.
