I would bet my bankroll that dogs have dreams, both dogs I've had have always had muffled barks and all kinds of craziness while they were sleeping, especially the yappy maltese who loves to bark at anything.

I can't imagine she isn't dreaming there, so I can't imagine dreaming of something unpleasant isn't too far of a stretch.

my dog twitches and yelps in her sleep alot, so im in the "yeah prolly" camp.

Like others have said, the lady sounds weird and im sure its just her dog is a pussy more than anything else.

and anyway, nothing wrong with cuddling up with a dog.

Dogs certainly appear to have dreams. My dog is always kicking and moving about during sleep

it is common knowledge that dogs dream. they twitch their legs and move their lips sometimes when sleeping. I don't know if this common knowledge is actually accurate. I don't know if there has been enough psychoanalysis of sleep patterns to determine if there is some sort of thought process going on during these spasms, or it is just some sort of REM state.

long answer; could be true, probably not known

short answer; this woman's a nutjob.

Cats and dogs do in fact dream. I have seen some dream scientist cutting something in a cat's brain, so that the actual desire to move while dreaming would not get supressed.
The cat was chasing and catching an imaginary mouse in the room, while sleeping of course.
So it is very likely that your dogs dream of running around outside and such activities.
