Default Please explain to me how the Wii memory works

How does the Wii store information?

Is there a HDD? How big?
What about the SD cards you can put in?
Can you save Virtual Console games to SD card?
Can you transfer VC games via SD card to another Wii?

Basically I just don't have a clue how the memory system works. Please explain it to me. Thanks.

No, onboard NAND flash memory, 512 MB in size (~400 MB available to the user).

VC games can be transferred to a SD card if you fill the onboard memory. They cannot be played from the SD card. They need to be moved back to onboard memory in order to play. VC games can be deleted to free up space, and then subsequently downloaded again at no cost. VC games are 'locked' to the Wii that downloaded them - no inter-Wii VC game transfers are possible, even using SD cards (mod chips notwithstanding, not even sure if they make that possible).
