Default deepstack river spot

4080deepstack effective stacks pretty damn big villian is hcdbtt(sp?) who is tough laggy opponent who likes to put pressure

4080 blinds
I raise T7hh in cutoff to 280, he makes it 1k on button, blinds fold I call

J T 7 flop with flushdraw
I bet 1350 he calls

turn is a brick
I bet 3650 he calls

river A doesn't bring flush draw
(12k)
I bet 6500 he shoves for ~22k more

hes probably capable of bluffshoving here with worse hand since my bet looks like exactly what it is but its such a gamble to call the shove. anyone think checkcall is better here? my thoughts on the river bet was that i was getting maxvalue from Jx, QQ, KK hands

Seems like a definite fold to me, but I may be bad at poker.

I think check call is much better, and you have to fold now (obv).

I think the worst part of this is that there's no way you have KQ given the amount you bet on the river.

river bet amount definitely put you in this tough spot, but if i was gonna bet i can't think of a better amount to do.

so yea, check-call sounds better.

also i think you should fold this as played. it looks a hell of a lot like KQ, or perhaps AA. I dont think he'd shove much less than those for value, or turn them into bluffs, and i dont think he'd float twice with a hand that had to become a bluff on the river, so i think this is straight valuetown.
