I don't think we should get involved either.

Tons of people get scammed in bbv even with warnings. I just put a note in big letters in the sticky to be very careful when making sidebets with people and encourage them to use escrows, and that's basically all we can do, from my understanding. Ryan has mentioned to me before that we don't want to get involved in this sort of thing.

Yeah, BBV is particularly susceptible to this due to the nature of the forum.

If it starts happening too often, I think it's a good idea to start cracking down on prop bet threads entirely. It seems OK right now, though.

personally i think that sidebets is a meh thing for the site to "sponsor" as is, as what it is doing is allowing a moving book on a proposition, hosted by 2p2. this in itself is not too great of an idea from a legal standpoint. then again, i don't really care about that.

people are retarded about this sort of thing, and yes, people are going to get scammed. personally i would think that it would be within the realm of bbv for that guy to just start 1 thread every day for the rest of time pointing out that the guy is a douche who "rolled" him in a ll bet. but whatever.

cit,

You are correct about the risk of allowing any sort of gambling to be coordinated on the 2+2 forums.

I find it sorta funny that 2+2 is worried about being sued by people for posting links to things on the Internet, yet allows all manner of wagering to be done in forum threads. Funny stuff.

Indeed; you are correct, El Diablo.

I propose that in future we should delete all such posts and permaban the instigators.
