For those that just can't get it:

They highlight the image so you can see it both ways

I now see 3 spinning dancers all going in a clockwise direction but at different speeds. I've spent some time on the counter-clockwise one starting at different corners and shadows and covering parts up and it doesn't help me at all.

I don't feel that thing helps me get any closer to seeing it the other way.

Are you serious? I think you should really give this page another shot. Make sure you're focusing on the light areas in the middle picture, play with your screen brightness and contrast so that you clearly see the lighting around the edges of her legs and midsection.

Its subtle, but if you really pay attention to the highlighted areas eventually your brain will "flip it" so that she's going CCW and you can't see through her. It may take a few rotations but stay with it and I'm pretty confident you'll see her go the other way.

Screen brightness FTW I had mine all the way down

i'm a little buzzed and this just blew my mind. i seriously thought it the gif was switching automatically just to [censored] with me, but i can pretty much control which way it goes now when i want.

look for me on the newly written episode of Heroes when i kill the mexican twins by making them turn clockwise into a bus.

OK, i looked at this picture for about 20 minutes and I could only see clockwise. Then I tried fartman77's tornado technique. Now I see anti-clockwise but I cannot get her to go back clockwise. This is so weird and tilty.

OK, I am now convinced that I have absolutely no control over which direction she is spinning. This seems completely random. By far most tilting thing I've done in a long time.

I can flip her direction, but only after staring at the fixed version for a few rotations. I do feel a lot better now.

I saw counter at first, then looked away (probably at the text on the left) then she was clockwise.

I could see it switch to counterclockwise out of the corner of my eye when reading the text. I couldn't get it to change otherwise.
