Default NL10 How not to play AK oop > need advice

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.10 BB (7 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

MP2 ($6.60)
CO ($8.10)
Button ($9.65)
SB ($9.90)
Hero ($10)
UTG ($6.70)
MP1 ($5.10)

Preflop: Hero is BB with A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
<font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, <font color="#CC3333">MP1 raises to $0.2</font>, <font color="#CC3333">MP2 raises to $0.3</font>, <font color="#666666">3 folds</font>, Hero calls $0.20, <font color="#CC3333">MP1 raises to $1</font>, MP2 folds, Hero calls $0.70.

Flop: ($2.35) 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
Hero checks, <font color="#CC3333">MP1 bets $1</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $9</font>, MP1 calls $3.10 (All-In).

Turn: ($10.55) J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players, 1 all-in)</font>

River: ($10.55) 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players, 1 all-in)</font>

Final Pot: $10.55

Table is a mixture of solid TAG's and Ultra LAG's for the few hands I saw. Because I'm up preflop against 2 shortstacks oop I'm either committing myself for this pot or I'm out. Folding AKs from the BB is too weak, but do I want to call an allin if I 4-bet? So that's why I just call.

MP1 instead 4-bets, MP2 folds and I call. King on flop and only hand I can't beat is AA, so that's why I commit.

So spill all your criticism/ give advice as much as you like.

When I'm out of position I don't like to smooth call for the most part. Get the money in when I'm likely ahead, because I'm at a disadvantage for the rest of the hand. So I would reraise preflop to $1 or so and see what happens.

If MP1 4-bets you can probably put him on AA, maybe KK and fold.

Except your opponent 3-bet the flop, for a lot of players that's AA/KK/AK and maybe QQ, QQ isn't calling the big flop bet and so if you get called you need help.
