Default Depositing monies..

I just tried to deposit some money at PS into my new account with a credit card and was rejected. Similar when I tried using Epassport (no M/C allowed for some reason).

I haven't tried depositing in a couple years - do checks/cashier checks work?

Also, will I get the same hassles if I try to deposit at FTP?

My preferred method (quicker than a check) is a Visa gift card. Gift cards aren't blocked.

That's an interesting idea - never used one, but just read up on them - seems like the only catch could be if it's a "US Only" type of card that some cards seem to be. Where do you purchase your cards - i.e. what banks are backing the card?

Go to Walgreens and get the Visa Gift card wrapped in a YELLOW package.

OK, I will check it out. They seem to be tied to PNC Bank with their cards.

It isn't that MC doesn't work, it's that your credit card that happens to be a MC didn't work.

Maybe, but the message was "We are not accepting M/C at this time."

This was a good tip. The $6 fee is a little annoying, but instant money on PS.

Mods - maybe change this title to something with "gift card" in it so it will be easier to find.
