Particularly against this villain. He enjoys calling.

I'd prefer 3-betting pf, but I like the way you played this hand.

Not gonna speak for bobbo but when I view this hand, I see minimal value in a river bet. Your bet will signify minimal FE he may think he has thus thwarting his bluffing frequency. This also now narrows his calling/raising range weight to hands that beat you. I think the bluff aspect is not precisely QQ but also weaker K's....thus the bad bluff if that was his/your intentions.

I understand he checks behind with weaker hands sometimes but I just look at it as the value I give up by having the best hand get checked through on the river << then the times I stack off with JJ on this board or at the very least $755.

Cliff notes to slightly buzzed post - This bet (taking into consideration stack sizes and lines taken) shows a ton of strength imo. This lowers the times he will bluff raise or even call with weaker. Conversely, this creates a heavily weighted range for him that does beat you if he calls/raises. The amount it costs you to try and gain value does not outway the times it costs you $755-your stack when he does infact have you beat.

You
don't
get
called
by
worse
often
enough
to
justify
the
losses
you
take
by
going
'for value'...

To answer post title...yes, I believe it's too thin. BUT if I did decide to go for some thin value, c/c'ng river seems just as viable.

what hand range do you expect this type of player to call with then?

(not saying this is a bad line, just curious what you think his range is)
