you played both fine, as long as the flop check in hand 1 isnt default for you. i do that too now and then b/c it balances your checking range in multiway pots. you must either have the nittiest image ever or villain 1 is completely absurd.

Devin,

Calling almost pot and then pushing after Asian dude calls all-in is nasty.

You either split with T8, he has outs with 99 or you're crushed by KT.

You can imagine this as 99 or a combo draw, but live, that takes a lot of imagination. Can he really have something other than KT?

[/ QUOTE ]

can def. have 99/JJ, QJ. if the blank on the flop was a club its even easier but still dont fold.

[/ QUOTE ]

Nate, I don't agree that your advice was entirely right. Maybe he could have 99/JJ/QJ, but I think he raises that rather than cold call with two left to act on this board.

ok, serious question. playing mtt's, my reads are, on average, really good. I can manipulate players into doing what I want often, etc. I have alot of control in that game.

In 6 max cash (or any nl cash really) , my reads are off, players react wrong, etc.

I really dont think its a skill problem, and my basic approach is ok, so it has to be a problem with how im seeing it. Jman talked about a fundimental difference between the approaches to both games. Please help me see where i'm off.

I know this seems vague, but I'm thinking some of you will know exactly what im talking about.

adjusting to the stack sizes. in mtts you rarely play any real post flop poker, where the difficult decisions are, with 100bb+ stacks. in cash you have like 100bbs, which is a lot different than 30 or 40 bbs.

i think the more you play, the more you'll figure all the differences out (folding post flop is ok!) just make sure you have someone looking over your shoulder so you don't go down the wrong path and mis-learn something.

I just noticed that there is now a a limit --> NL forum.

What are the chances of getting a SNG --> NL forum?
