Highway 61 is really good, too, but it's shorter (Blonde on Blonde was originally a double album), and I don't think it's quite as good. Lots of people think Blood on the Tracks is his best, but it's also a real departure from what he was doing in the 60s-- he's older, wiser, a little more grizzled, a little less psychedelic, etc. |
