Default 4bet.net the flop? (5/10) turn?

Since this site has no hh's I basically made my own hh!

Reads: I am on a pretty good card rush. The table just became 6 handed (it was 3 handed before), I am 3betting the [censored] out of the button who opens everytime but he folded here. I just won a 4k pot with kings in a 3bet pot versus a strong draw. So my image is that I am active and splash around a lot. SB in this hand has been sort of quiet and I really know very little about him. We have not clashed but I am sure he is aware that I am the table captain and have been very active.

I expect a lot of people will say 3bet more preflop (especially when this deep). Lately I have been opening up my 3betting range. So often times when SB raises me I make a small 3bet with a much wider range and am able to take it down on flop a lot. I still make large 3bets from like $110-180 but I vary the size a lot. After this hand took place, I can see why 3betting so small can be an issue.

$5/$10 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 6 Players
LegoPoker Hand History Converter

BTN: $449.30
SB: $1800ish
Hero (BB): $4600ish
UTG: $630.65
MP: $1592.10
CO: $460.30

Pre-Flop: UTG folds, MP folds, CO folds, Button folds, SB raises $30, [dealt to Hero (BB)
J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]], Hero raises $90, SB calls $60.

Flop: ($180) 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 Players)
SB checks, Hero bets $140, SB raises $280, (he has 1.5kish behind), Hero....

(Well I called)
Turn: ($750) 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 Players)
SB checks, Hero...(he has 1.5k behind)

Is it a mistake to bet here? If he checkraises am I felting? Ughh I am retarded but this hand gave me trouble.

I check here and c/c the river. If checked to on the river, I prolly make a value bet. If he c/r here, your basically toast almost always.

You mean 4bet, but yeah, if we were 100BB's deep, I'd 4bet basically everytime here. The fact that we're 200BB's deep makes me just flat call, dunno if it's bad or not.

despite your image i would not for bet this flop, and i like a turn check and river call/bet as needed like aditya suggests

if you four bet i feel like the only hands that we are ahead of that are giving us action are combo draws like JT or KsQs

besides getting shoved on here is so gross on any street

I'd normally 3 bet here on flop. If you do not wish to play deep simply change tables!

I am going to embaress myself and post the results so you guys can laugh at me.

For some fking reason I talked myself into betting the turn. Pot was 720 and I bet 500ish and he minraises, I felt like I clearly [censored] up but basically said sigh and stacked off. He had 89. Looking back at it, I made three mistakes...

1.) This small 3bet preflop is just kind of retarded. JJ has a lot of value blind vs blind, and I am basically inviting him to call with anything given my raise size. I think there is a time and place for making small 3bets preflop but this is not one of them.

2.) Betting the turn. (It is actually a really easy check behind)

3.) Once I bet the turn and he confidently minraises I should just cut my losses and fold since my straight outs are probably not even there.

Worst hand I played all month probably, and I was not even on tilt. Thanks for the responses.
