I've been thinking of writing a few poker articles. I want to ask you guys, what are some of the biggest problems you run into while playing? I mean, are there certain types of pleyers you have trouble with that you woudl like to read about beating? Do you want to read about the move ffrom $50nl -> $100nl? Do you want to know when to 3bet light? How to combat light 3 betters?

Give me some ideas and I will write one or two this week.

It isn't massively different, you'll just run into a few more aggressive players and the standard of play is SLIGHTLY higher.

The other advantage of taking a 5 buyin shot is not thinking of when to move back down after losing just a buyin. If you lose 5 there may be problems and you can revaluate the decision, losing 3 is easily short term variance, I had 2 2+ buyin downswings today alone.

Getting bored, and therefore not playing enough, or playing backgammon instead where I'm a HUGGGGGGGGE fish.

3 or 5 whatever you want really. 5 will allow you to get a "longer" run at it. But if you lose 3 buyins at any level, you NEED to ask yourself if it was bad play or coolers. Dont lie to yourself. I do this on a daily basis at my normal stakes, and even moreso when I move up.
