You shouldn't be called by anything you are beating on the river. Sure, a bad player may have limped AA or KK and pay you but you can't count on that. I would play the same way but check and call one bet on the river.

I go pot-pot-push here also. The turn was a pretty good card, something like a J or Q would have bene harmless too, but I dont see how you cant take this line

I think you are getting called on the river by an overpair, A8, 89, or a set. If you aren't getting beat a majority of the time you are still losing value from the times you check and call a worse hand which would have folded if you hadn't pushed.

Rex u must be runnig bad. This is so standard IMO.
Maybe overbetting the flop to build a bigger pot for the turn. Once that turn comes get as much as possible from drawing hands that will most likely fold to a min-bet on the river when they have totally missed.

I'd try to check/raise all-in on the turn. There is no reason not to think you have the best hand and if it checks through that keeps the pot smaller and you can lead for like 1/2 the pot on most rivers.

i check riv, and generally call any bet. main concern is 76 now hit.

the one circumstance i could fold is UTG+1 shoving/betting huge and getting called my MP.

I think I'm checking somewhere and definitely not excited about getting all of my chips in w/ trash two-pair. If you got raised on the flop, I guess I'd be OK with a push.
