Default How much to VB on rvr w/ set? NL100

Villain is 50/9/2 over a couple hundred hands but all mined. Just sat at table.

Hero has $100, Villain covers.

Hero is dealt 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

UTG folds, Hero(UTG+1) raises to $3.5, Villain(CO) calls, BTN folds, SB folds, BB folds.

Flop ($8.5): 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
Hero bets $7, Villain calls $7

Turn ($22.5): 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
Hero bets $18, Villain calls.

River ($58.5): 10[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
Hero($71.50 behind)....?

Spots like these always seem to confuse me. I feel like we have 3 options - shove, bet 1/2stack, or bet tiny. I've always leaned towards shoving more so than betting about 1/2stack b/c I think it gets called more than 1/2 as much of the time. I seem to ignore betting real small in general. This is one of those spots I've never had a great understanding of. Any input is welcomed.

Definite shove. You get looked up with some major trash on boards like this.

Pot turn, thanks I'll think of that. I shoved and usually do in similiar situations. Guess I've been getting a lot of folds thus the post. What is our plan if hand is played on flp and trn the same way vs. a standard ~20/15 TAG?

Depends on your image. If you are tight/conservative postflop then you have to bet moderate against a reasonable player. If you have a loose and bit wilder postflop image then this is a great spot to get paid off.

Ive been shoving in these spots vs this type of player but they have been folding way more than expected. So I've focused on building on earlier streets so I could vbet smaller on the river. Like here Id make it $49-52 if I got here like this.
But on a drawy board like this I would be betting 8 (8.5) on flop and 23 (24.5) and 65.5 (70.5) on river.
Anyway. Should probably do the math on how often a shove has to get called vs a $49 bet to make it same ev but I do think a shove has way more FE.
