No I wouldn't of called either without more information on the player. If he called with turn bet with the intention to go all in on the river, then fair play to him, you'll find out eventually..

The reason I wanted to call was this hand that happened in the same table just a few minutes before:

ELLOOS (EUR 44.15 in seat 5)
zigizagi (EUR 57.04 in seat 6)

Dealer: KasiKstaN

Big Blind: zigizagi (0.50)

hero was dealt: 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] - 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

hero Raise (2.00)
KasiKstaN Fold
ELLOOS Call (1.75)
zigizagi Fold

Flop 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] - 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] - A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

ELLOOS Check
hero Bet (3.50)
ELLOOS Call (3.50)

Turn 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] - 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] - A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] - 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

ELLOOS Check
hero Bet (8.50)
ELLOOS Call (8.50)

River 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] - 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] - A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] - 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] - 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

ELLOOS All-In (30.15)
hero Call (30.15)

ELLOOS shows: 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] - A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (a pair of aces)
hero shows: 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] - 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (a flush, ace high)

His line is so wtf that I think I'd have to call -- he's not repping anything but a slowplayed set or a rivered 66. If he had the nuts or whatever, fine, gh. Given history, definitely call.

I would call, after that flush hand. He has shown his ability to put his money in marginal situations. If he has a 2, then so be it.

Am I missing something or are the villians different in the two hands?

I'm not sure what the villian in hand number 2 has to do with calling the villian in hand number 1.
