would be curious to see, say, 10 or so hands where he is the pfr and folded before showdown (or where it he checked on the turn or river, though can't really filter for that, I think).

This is a monstrous thread. I just ignored all my morning work while reading this for an hour.

I'd be interested to see his stats with Aces or Kings. I bet there would be some interesting conclusions to be drawn from there.

See here's the thing, even though I want to play good poker, do you even NEED to play good poker to beat $1/2 given that 3 or 4 out of the 6 players are brain-dead?

[/ QUOTE ]

Yes, apparently. At least something better than what you've been doing.

If someone gets me the hand histories, I can import them into PokerTracker 3 and give you a nice looking graph.

All I'm saying, Mr. Gild, is that we need more of this:

and less of this:

[ QUOTE ]
You don't suck by the standard that you are better than the average poker player. You lose less than the rake. But the chance you are +EV after rake over the last million hands is so ridiculously close to zero I am just going to call it zero. If I had to guess, I would say you play way too many tables. Cut your tables in half for 100k hands and see what the results are. (How many tables do you play? How many were you playing for the first 200-400K hands? I am guessing you are playing a ton if you made it to SN elite, if not, change cut down number of tables to do something other than play poker 20 hours a day. That is also a good suggestion: cap the amount you play to say no more than two sessions a day, with a session being no more than say 90 minutes).

In response to any "I would get so bored only playing X tables" I off this counter argument: "There are a hell of a lot more exciting ways to blow through money than playing 2X tables."

[/ QUOTE ]

Due respect to fnord, who may not be aware how worn that path is.
