Default full tilt temporarily can\'t issue paper checks

pretty sure this hasn't been covered...

Email I got from support@fulltiltpoker.com

Thank you for your inquiry to Full Tilt Poker regarding checks.

Unfortunately, due to a recent change in our check processor's policies,
we are temporarily unable to issue checks to US residents. We are
working to resolve this issue as quickly as possible. In the meantime,
rest assured that this does not affect the money in your Full Tilt Poker
account in any way. Your money is safe, secure and ready for use on our
tables or for withdrawal at any time. Full Tilt Poker is fully committed
to continue offering its services to all of our players worldwide.

US customers requesting to withdraw their funds will need to create an
account with one of our secure payment processors, your funds will
remain in your Full Tilt Poker account for use on our site while you
establish a new payment processor. Click2Pay and ePassporte are simple
to set-up using our convenient guides located at:

http://www.fulltiltpoker.com/payClick2Pay.php
http://www.fulltiltpoker.com/payEpassporte.php

If you have any further questions or concerns, feel free to email
support@fulltiltpoker.com at any time.

Regards,

Ian

Now even paper checks are a no go? Now that's a bad beat.

Site says with faxed drivers license and utility bill a check will be issued. Is this still true?

I got this same response from them. Personally I think it's a bigger issue than we think..They give no reason why and conveniently they can't cut checks to the US after the Neteller debacle. Who's to say C2P or epassporte pull out very soon. How then do we get the funds? The fact that their processor suddenly changed its policy is scary and makes me feel that doomsday is imminent. The "cover our ass" without releasing info to their customers is really ticking me off with these sites.

guys - what would you like these sites to do? drive to your house and deliver it in unmarked bills? The checks do not come from the sites themselves, they are cut by a 3rd party. Many of these third parties have now ditched. Can we all just go to sleep for about 2 weeks and see what shakes out? It will likely be extraordinarily difficult to get money in or out of the sites over the next few weeks. This goes double if C2P and/or epass pullout. Just chill, play poker, increase your balance, and worry about getting the cash out in the future when everything settles down.

I agree this is a short term problem for those who want their money now. But long term, the Justice Department is the one playing this tune, and they have absolutely no interest in preventing hundreds of millions of dollars from coming back to the US economy. Especially since not doing so would give a huge financial windfall to the very overseas companies they are trying to put out of business.

I fully expect the feds will make it clear to ACH providers that they have no problem with them facilitating the *return* of US funds to this country. My only concern right now is getting money *to* sites like FTP because I love playing poker and want to be bankrolled for it.

After thinking a lot I had a funny feeling that sites like full tilt didn't care about the legislation because they knew it would take traffic from party.

Now think about this move. You want to cash out. Why risk losing your service to someone with different deposit methods? By cashing out to an electronic payment method, full tilt KNOWS you have the payment method set up. What does this mean? It's going to be a LOT easier for you to deposit again.

If you create the same issues with getting money off the site, some people won't have the same problem with getting money on the site.

well, "making sense" has rarely been a criteria for government actions, so I am not so sure the feds will make anything of that sort clear. I do think that there will be ways to get money back out of sites though, but it may take a little while. I emptied out ye olde neteller across 5 different sites as soon as the arrest story broke so am bankrolled forever. as long as i can pull my bi-monthly nest egg from at least one of those sites on mar 1 i'll be fine.

if all 5 sites disappear and run away with all my monies, then i'll be back here bitching, but i don't really see that as a possibility at the moment.
