5/10 live. My AK gets 6 callers and turns a pair.
Live 5/10 NL. The BB in this hand is pretty loose, but I haven't seen anything crazy. I have around 900 and he covers.
Five limpers to me, I make it 80 on the button with A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. The BB and EVERY limper calls, creating a $560 pot. Flop is T [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]2 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]3 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. Every checks, I check, and the turn is the A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. BB leads for $100, one of the limpers who covers me calls, the rest fold. Is this an easy shove, or a call and reevaluate? I'm 95% sure I have the caller beat, but I'm a bit worried about the BB. |

Re: 5/10 live. My AK gets 6 callers and turns a pair.
Re-evaluate what? Wait for a [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] or Q or something to fall and scare you off your hand? Pray the river gets checked through?
This is closer to a shove/fold decision to me than a shove/call. There's a good chance BB missed a c/r on the flop with a set. It could also be a FD that spiked an ace too. I really don't have good advice here, but I don't like a call. Can I hear some reasoning on the call? |

Re: 5/10 live. My AK gets 6 callers and turns a pair.
I think 6 ways you should always tread carefully with TPTK, and even more so when you made your hand on the turn. AT is very well in any of the limpers hands, as well as slow played sets and draws.
I think raising/shoving here is suicide against all but the worst players. Worst players as in...somebody with a weaker ace. I think this spot is bad enough, that I'd rather risk losing to a draw on the river than shoving and drawing very thin. |

The tiny bet is pretty strange. I'm not sure what it means, but I think I just call and play it careful. Your hand is too good to fold here, and since you've got the button a call seems like a nice play. If things go crazy on the river you can reevaluate.

Re: 5/10 live. My AK gets 6 callers and turns a pair.
You really need to raise more preflop.
5 limpers to you, including the blinds the pot is already 65 bucks. You need to make this at least 130 to go and see what happens. As soon as the first person calls, everyone else is going to feel like they now have odds to come along with ATC (they are live players afterall). Also, not continuation betting on the flop put you in a horrible spot. Now you have TPTK and yet you have absolutely no idea where you are in the hand other than in an uncomfortable situation. So now you are donked into and got a caller. This bet could be "i have a set and want you to raise hoping you caught the Ace" or "I want to see my flush draw cheaply so lets put a bet out there in fear of having to call a real bet if anyone else makes one" You can't fold, so I think you need to call and just hope you are facing a smallish bet on the river as well.... |

I think making it $130 preflop is an overbet.
I also don't see the point of continuation betting this flop into 5 other players. |

Re: 5/10 live. My AK gets 6 callers and turns a pair.
I'd call and see what happens on the river. I suspect the river will ususally get checked down and you'll win. But if a diamond comes or the board pairs and somebody goes all-in in front of you, then you can probably fold despite the size of the pot. If the river is a blank, you can probably call a reasonable river bet from anybody in front of you. If it's an all-in, then you'd need to make a read and call or fold based on who's doing the betting.

Re: 5/10 live. My AK gets 6 callers and turns a pair.
cbetting this with a/k seems horrible to me. I don't know if you can just call here either. The only way he's folding is if the BB pushes and the limper calls. I'm not sure if it gets checked around here either.
