Default 2-7 River play (2-4, no HH sorry)

History: First hand at the table UTG limps, and it folds to me in the BB with 234xx. I raise and draw two, UTG draws two. I get nothing. I bet, he calls. I draw two, he draws two also. I check fold UI.

Next hand I raise 842xx in the SB.

He also draws two and I catch nothing.

I bet again he calls. He draws two again and I draw two and make 98432.

I bet, he raises, I three bet, and he calls.

Pat and he is also pat. River play?

Check/fold. If you want to be adorable c/r but I doubt that will work.

Check and hope you're good. If he bets you're in an ugly spot, but should usually fold. People pat behind with all sorts of crap in the 2/4 game, but usually won't bet them.

It's not a good idea to regularly bet second 2:2 UI OOP.

Yeah, why are you betting either hand after the first draw unimproved OOP?

The hand in question is tough and one of the reasons this game is rough..... there's really no answer to your question, being OOP sucks and you have a smooth draw if you break the 9, yet a 9 seems to be good against someone drawing 2, but if you're going to play it you have to 3 bet it. Then the river sucks whether he's pat or he breaks, since it may be a check/fold either way.
