Default Bed Bugs

I just watched a segment about bedbugs on Inside Edition (yes, I was bored) and all I could think about was the nasty beds I've been forced to sleep when I couldn't find a room in AC. All those nasty motels on the side of the Pike, more than once I have woken up very itchy - just freaked out about how nasty the room was.

Has anyone had a bad experience at a hotel in AC or Vegas where you brought home some creepy crawlies? The thought of it makes me itch all over.

Not AC or Vegas but my bed at the Peekskill Inn in Westchester has roaches living under the mattress. I'll take bedbugs over roaches any day.

From what I hear the biggest bed bug problem is in Manhattan.

I would be more concerned about that. People in the city are walking around with these things on their body and they can jump onto you as you are walking down the street.

I live a sheltered midwest life I guess. I have never known that bed bugs were anythign real beyond the "Don't let the bed bugs bite" phrase. I always thought that was just some way of my parents telling me to sleep comfortably.

This freaks me outa little. It is a big thing.

I won't even rest my head on the back of the buss seat anymore (yep, I take the buss now), I came home one day with the itchiest scalp for a week. I bring a scarf, a hat, anything to separate my body from the fabric.

I had bed bug bites the last time I stayed at the Taj. I don't stay at the Taj any more.

A couple of years ago, I stayed at one of those dumps on Black Horse Pike. NEVER again. I'll sleep in my car in the casino parking lot before I stay in one of those places again.

I stayed at the Ascot Motel, or as it says on the neon sign "a ot otel".

It did matter to me, since I was hammered.
