Default 200NL - Q9s from the SB gets 4-bet/pushed on the flop

This is from a non-PT supported site, so you'll have to bear with me.

Villian has been in a lot of hands lately and has played relatively donkishly ... calling a lot and winning some and losing some. He's not really a great player. I've seen him apply a little heat in a hand or two, but nothing like this. I've not seen him show down a hand yet.

Villian ($185)
Hero ($200)

Hero is in SB with Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

2 limpers to Hero, who completes, BB checks.

Flop Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($8)
Hero bets $6, BB folds, MP raises to $14, LP folds, Hero raises to $56, MP pushes all-in, HERO ... ?

I know there have been a lot of 2-pair hands lately - but those have been multiway ...

Ya fold, he has 44 here.

If the deck's real cold 99.

What hands does he have that you beat? Let's see... Horrendously played AA/KK/JJ/TT, AQ, Q4, 94, maybe JT, and that's about it. Hands that beat you: QQ, 99, 44. There are a whole lot more ways to make the hands you beat than the ones that beat you (one way to make 99, one way to make QQ, 3 ways to make 44). I think you can severely downweight hands like Q4 and 94, plus TT-JJ... they just don't seem at all likely given the flop betting (even a loose player is mucking Q4 and 94, and prob raising TT-JJ).

Looking at his flop betting, when he puts that four bet in you're really looking at AA, KK, AQ, QQ, 99, and 44. That's it. AQ seems exxxxxtremely unlikely. You're getting 247: 127 to call, or basically 2:1. 12 ways to make AA & KK, 5 ways to make the others. You still have four outs twice against 44, which helps somewhat (whereas any hand that is behind you has fewer outs). Call and pray.

I'd probably just called his flop raise and looked to play a med sized pot here. Without any info regarding villian liking to slowplay pf I discount A's/K's/Q's here and feel your facing AQ or a set. He may laydown AQ to real heat but will just push a set vs your 3bet. I don't see getting this much action with any other PP and the other 2 pair hands are not very likely, you mention he's calling many bets not making them, I think you're beat as played.

You are right. This board is getting weak/tight.

OP: call.
