finaltablehelp.com
See the text below from a website called finaltablehelp.com that appears to be affiliated with thepokerdb. I saw it in the avatar of GB2005 on Stars, thought it was a joke, but went to the site and was surprised to see it appears to be real. What do you think about the ethics of this?
Text from the website: Helping people close out tournaments What is FinalTableHelp.com? FTH will do everything in our power to help people close out tournaments. When a player is nearing an online tournament final table, they contact FTH.com and an experienced player will do everything in their power to help guide them to victory. FTH gets nothing unless the player makes the final table. During the helping process we will give advice to what we would do and what we think is “correct”. However, the final decision is that of the player requesting help. How much does it cost to get help from FTH? Prize Pool Percent Tables Needed to Request Help $15,000 - $99,999 20% 5 or less $100,000 - $250,000 17.50% 6 or less $251,000 + 15% 7 or less And remember, if you don't make the final table, FTH gets nothing. Who should I be in contact with if I want to request help? You'll directly contact the helper at their designated AIM address. If they are online, then they are available to help. Please see each helper's page to find their AIM address.** ** Right now, GB2005 is the only helper, but more will be added in the future. |

Re: finaltablehelp.com
I think the ethics of it are pretty [censored] up. But I think, per official policy (at least at Stars), this is ok. If I remember back to the threads about this back in the day (I can't really remember the context in which it came up), one player to a hand basically doesn't apply online.
I also hope this thread will get a lot of discussion. Nice find. |

Re: finaltablehelp.com
If anyone giving the advice is playing or did play in the tournament, it's multiaccounting. Regardless, I think it's shady.

I am happy to see that you feel this way. I was shocked, and I think it is just terrible for online poker.

What happens when someone in a tourney with him, maybe even at the same table, asks for advice. |
