So I am being tricky and flat call the flop trying to trap a lower pp? I guess raise was standard. I should have realized trapping lower pp rarely works since there is so many potential scare-cards on the turn that kill the action.

Yeah, plus the board is pretty draw heavy with the 345 and 2 diamonds, you gotta charge him.

I don't think flat calling the flop's bad. What hands are going to stay that we're still ahead of if we raise it up?
The biggest mistake is showing so much agression on this board with one pair.

Try to find a better spot to get your money in.

It's the balance between extracting value from weaker hands and protecting your own hand that gives me often a hard time.
