he also hit a jackpot in one of stars milestone hands during the 5 billion promotion. [/ QUOTE ] Wasn't aware of that. Still doesn't explain his success at the high stakes tables. It would appear that he is profitable at the 5/10+ tables. Is that correct Sobrao? |

I always thought sobrao was super nitty. But he 12 tabled endlessly so I figured he was able to build a massive roll and +move up. [/ QUOTE ] Most of the players mentioned in this thread have built a roll sufficient to move up. They don't move up because they understand that there is a significant skill differential beginning at the 2/4. It is extremely difficult to be profitable at that level. Despite this supposed 10 billionth hand score, Sobrao has demonstrated (I think) that he is profitable at the 5/10+........all the way to 25/50!!! IMO, this is an amazing accomplishment, as he was one of us at the 1/2 just a few months ago. How did he do it??? I'd love to hear details. Sobrao, please elaborate. |

I play any game (within my roll) where I think I have an edge, which is usually any game with 30%+ seeing the flop. Having said that, I am a marginal loser at 5/10 and 3/6, and a marginal winner at 2/4. However, playing those games has taught me A LOT and my game has changed significantly. Obv I crush the .50/1&2. [/ QUOTE ] You don't crush anything Studboy1, your a winner, but you don't crush .5/1 and 1/2 thats for sure. |

I'm on pace to make 100K this year playing 3hrs/day. I stand by my original statement. Respect and best of luck to you. |

Re: Poker Stars Regulars
can u post ur winrate? i doubt it would have any negative effect except proving ur point. And i highly doubt that is true, tho i guess it would depend on how much you think the better regs make. They are refering to winrate not total money won per month or w/e ur basing it on

Anyways, While you are obviously a winning player and a competent player.... THERE IS NO CHANCE IN HELL YOU ARE IN TOP10 in any way you want to measure skill or $$ earned at NL100..Hell, probably not in top 100. You have GREAT game selection and you play well and are able to multitable great and you have great control of your emotions while playing, however, these things just make up for the fact that you aren't that great of a player. If you improved your game and combined it with your table selection skills and your other skills, then yes, I would belive what your saying... But with the way you play, there is no chance that you CRUSH anything...You give new meaning to the word nit (and yes I know u have opened up your game a lot recently, but your still SUPER NITTY) But yes I respect your game and your table selection skills I think everyone in this forum could learn from them...Best of luck at the tables. |

Re: Poker Stars Regulars
studboy is a good player, winning player at NL100 and NL200, I dont know for how much exactly but most regs at NL200 make about the same as far as ptbb/100 goes the nits know how to play vs the lags and vice versa, their edges against each other arent that big, and vs the donks its equal..
they just choose different styles becuase they think its better but for 'most' of them it ends up with the same WR,,, the nits lose value and the lags spew,, now if you are a good nit or a good lag its different but most players underestimate the 'good' part.... |
