Villain is pretty readless but has shown some donkeyness.

Pushing here is marginal at best in my opinion. It looks like you are well behind villain's range.

I'm not sure how I would play this though facing the small 3-bet on the flop. What do other people think?

Raise preflop for sure.

I would raise more on the flop the first time around, make it like $5. I don't think getting it in here is too bad esp. if he is bad. He will def show up with some marginal stuff here a lot.
