Moving from Canada to US : change account or not?

After living in Montreal for 5 years I am going back to Boston. I have reopened all my poker accounts so that they are Canadian over that time. Should I change the accounts to american when I get home?

I have a friend here that could receive the checks. I trust the kid very much so that is not a problem. Does anyone think it will be worth something to keep my stars and Full tilt accounts Canadian?

I would prefer to get the checks sent to my house in the US but if there might be advantages in the future I would like to know about them.
