OK, I'll make everybody here a deal.

If Sublime can go ONE Colts thread without flaming me (which he's done repeatedly in this thread), I'll (just to see what happens) tone down the fact that I'm a Colts fan. I'm passionate, but I ALWAYS bring logic to the discussion.

The obvious split here between how Pats fans are treated when THEY get bad calls and me when I talk about bad calls is disgusting.

Also, we're all in agreement PLO8 should be permabanned, correct?

[/ QUOTE ]

dude, i will NEVER EVER harass you again UNTIL you say something that is just blatantly stupid about anything colts related. thats all you have to do and i wont think and/or post about you being insane.

WHo read Michael Lewis article in Play it seems very (what is the word I'm looking for here, it has to do with him correctly prediciting the future)?

Edit: Prescient? is that a word? Am I using it correctly?

Edit 2: I did that without seeing Vhawk or JeffW. Honour system ftw.

Edit 3: Anyone want to answer my question?

Cody is just as wrong as you are, if that makes you feel better.

that call maybe decreased the Colts win % by < 1 %.

[/ QUOTE ]

You are obv forgetting the fact that the Colts can copy and paste the 29 yd attempt into the 24 yd attempt and he would have made it.

[/ QUOTE ]

True or false, all other things equal, a 24-yarder is some % more likely to be made than a 29-yarder?

As a kicker, I know the answer to this, do you?

[/ QUOTE ]

Now demonstrate that that % is anything more than trivial.

[/ QUOTE ]

But Vhawk,

THE LACES WERE IN!!!111!! THEY WERE IN!!!!!!! hYAAHCHACHAHCAH

thing is, the kick would have been different etc..

the whole point is, a 5 yard penalty (which was questionable at best) that changes a 24 yr FG into a 29yrd FG doesnt matter over the course of thousands of trials....how do people who are not legally retarded not see this?

Edge, do you get the importance of this point? If the % went from like 95 to 93, how many points is that worth? Far less than 2. So its completely irrelevant.

Cody is an otherwise reasonable guy who is on a bit of tilt at having seen the NFL's greatest clutch kicker blow two easily makable field goals, costing his team a nice comeback win under incredibly adverse conditions on the road.

You, on the other hand, are just a joke.

[/ QUOTE ]

Well, you're welcome to your opinion, but on the plus side, I don't come into threads with the sole intent of just flaming people, which thus far is all I've seen you and sublime do. That makes you MUCH better, right?

I was more than fair to the Patriots last week in our loss and I got flamed. I think I'm being pretty fair, even if I'm overly passionate, about things that happened tonight, and I'm getting flamed. I think the only thing that would keep that from happening is if I either started just kissing Boston's ass or stopped posting, and neither of those is happening any time soon.
