1/2 WTF ??? Donk/call lead turn line ???

I am in the habit of raising donkbet with ATC in NL, free money usually, so this I also do here

He then calls and leads ???? WTF does this line mean ??? (Can I blow him away with a second raise or is he very strong ?)

Unfortunately I just sat, so no reads.

he has a 3, 2x, a pocket pair, or a K and is never folding. stop raising donkbets with any two cards.

But 3betting check/raises on Ace-high boards in steal or blind battles with ATC is ok .... right ??

when people donk like this i just call as if i had something and then if they fire again i will fold. If he checks the turn i'll bet.

This is like K8 or 78 take your pick and try and make it cheap.

means he has you beat....why woudl you rais ethe Flop?

this means basiclly 2 things in my experience

1. a 3 or a pp wich dont want to give your A high a Freecard

2. a King wich doesnt want to you to fold on the Flop

3. A high trying to make you fold your better Ace or whatever

4. J8o for whatever reason but thats rare

he never folds a better hand...stop using nL concepts in limit! While in nL this might be a feeler bet where you might get him of his weak Hand its not gonna work here

Relax mate, I'm asking nice and gently everytime I'm in doubt, and you throw a stop using NL concepts in limit at me (General statement followed by a period).

That statement has to be a load of crap, so stop telling me to stop using NL concepts in limit and instead list NL concept that usually are good in NL but suffer from different conditions in limit.


Now take this line, it makes no sense. If he is strong, then why donk ... and if he donks, why not threebet ... it is not like the pot is bigger on turn if he just smoothcalls, so I'm not more tied to the pot here than if he 3bet.

Also he is leading turn, so it is not a sacrifice a small bet for the chance of checkraising turn thus winning an extra small bet line.

I don't understand the line ... and was hoping for someone to explain it.

OK, this almost makes sense, save a bet by not threebetting but bet again on turn to not give freecard ... but what if raised again ... call and checkcall ??

Is this a good line ... or just one of those common donkish lines ???

And causes doubt in your mind as to strength thus perhaps making you call turn as well ... fair enough, this does not sound bad.

Honestly ... does this make a case for having no FE what so ever


The king line is not folding off course

The 2 might or might not depending on opponent ... right ??

The same with Ace-high

and J8 is an easy kill



So what am I to think of this actually ... and ok, this is a 1/2 game ... is my FE better at 5/10 against better players (or worse ... and do those ever go for the donk flop line?? )
