[ QUOTE ]
What exactly is your goal with this checkraise? As in, what are you trying to make fold/call/raise?

[/ QUOTE ]

I want him to fold his A9o/KJ/88 etc as I think those hands comprise the vast majority of his range. Basically, I'm fairly sure I still have the best hand on this flop, and even if I don't, I'm rarely bured by an overpair here.

The reason I decided to check-raise rather than lead is that leading is too transparent and he'll raise me, again, with a pretty wide range - some worse, some coinflips, and some better-but-not-by-much hands. A c/r looks a lot stronger and he should be less inclinded to [censored] with me with marginal hands.

And yes, spiking a 7 if called was definitely plan B. Sorry bud

I dont think its awful. I dont see why this cant be a big hand like a set for hero. You guys dont CR like this if there is a fish in the hand? Why not, he might still call with AK, and its a pretty drawy flop to slowplay.

against some villans, you must play this hand this way... especially those that like to float and generally fux with probe bets (which a flop lead would be)...many villans will raise with air if you lead here...c/r slows them down quite a bit...

The biggest mistake you make is trying to outplay a very successful online player. Focus on the donks. Don't let your ego get in the way of winning $$$$.
