Running is less efficient so you'll burn more calories/mile, but it will take a shorter time so you'll burn fewer base metabolic rate calories. But overall the running burns more, and more fat.

Total difference is pretty trivial.

Do neither, sprint 30 seconds, walk 30 seconds until you're done. Will burn way more calories although less fat during the run itself, but throughout the rest of the next day or two much more calories (fat included) will be spent repairing the damage to your muscles.
